Crave Nasi Lemak at JEM (unit #B1-K03, 50 Jurong Gateway Road, operating Monday-Sunday 10:00am-10:00pm) was founded in 2015 through a strategic partnership between Kiosks Collective and Dr. Abdul Malik Hassan, owner of the legendary award-winning Adam Road Nasi Lemak by Selera Rasa, bringing decades of nasi lemak expertise to modern casual dining environments. The partnership vision established Crave as a vehicle to expand access to Singapore's finest nasi lemak beyond the original Adam Road location, building on a culinary legacy recognized by food critics and media as "Singapore's Favourite Nasi Lemak." Since 2015, Crave has experienced remarkable expansion from a single stall to 43 outlets strategically positioned across Singapore's shopping centers and high-traffic locations, demonstrating the universal appreciation for authentic nasi lemak prepared with unwavering quality standards and ingredient integrity.
The signature Nasi Lemak features fragrant coconut rice prepared with basmati rice combined with coconut milk, creating the distinctive creamy texture and aroma that defines authentic Nasi Lemak excellence. The accompaniments showcase crispy ikan bilis (anchovies), roasted peanuts, and house-made sambal chili offering authentic heat and flavor complexity, complemented by customer's choice of premium proteins. The menu extends beyond the signature to include diverse protein selections and complementary sides, all prepared with meticulous attention to ingredient quality and traditional preparation techniques. The casual, accessible ambiance prioritizes food quality and authentic flavors over pretentious service, creating environments where authentic Malaysian-Singaporean cuisine becomes convenient for daily dining rather than special occasions.
Located at JEM's basement level with convenient access to Jurong East MRT station, Crave serves diverse customer segments including office workers seeking authentic lunch options, families enjoying casual Malaysian cuisine during shopping breaks, and diners appreciating recognized quality nasi lemak preparations. The outlet accommodates flexible dining preferences through dine-in seating, takeaway service, and delivery via GrabFood, Foodpanda, and Deliveroo platforms. With Halal certification ensuring Muslim customer accessibility, founded in 2015 with heritage rooted in award-winning Adam Road excellence, and expanded to 43 Singapore locations while maintaining consistent quality, Crave Nasi Lemak at JEM represents an ideal destination for those seeking authentic nasi lemak recognized as Singapore's favorite—prepared with traditional techniques and quality ingredients honoring Malaysian-Singaporean culinary heritage.

I was there on 10 Jan at 1pm. Beside a cashier, there were 3 other counter staffs. So, it was a lot of staff for a counter take away. But sadly, they cannot manage. There were only 3 of us in the queue. With one returned guest complaining about her takeaway and insisted on a refund. Firstly, the cashier was so busy with her thoughts. I have to repeat my order 3x. I ordered the set with fish. Thankfully, I paid attention to my box. Before they closed my box, I noticed there were no fish and have to highlight to the “packer”. And one packer just point to the other packer to put in the fish. And once is packed, they just left my box infront of them and I have to ask if it’s done. Robot operate better than this. After paying $7.10 with additional long beans, my box looks pathetic. Seriously, those 3 counter staff behaved like a factory line when all they need is one person pack the box and put into a plastic bag for me to takeaway. They were waiting for each other to complete their station role. It is only a box of Nasi lemak, how complicated can it be? All you need is one efficient staff to complete this task.🤦🏻♀️

Delicious local delights that touches the authenticity of nasi lemak but more grandiose improvisation to the original choice

Honestly, despite all the reviews saying how mediocre Crave is, I think it’s actually pretty good. They’ve improved their recipe significantly. It’s still not worth the extra few dollars, but considering how most nasi lemak stalls don’t stay open past lunch, I can see past that. Definitely better than Wee Brothers. *DID NOT REVIEW FOR FREE BERGEDIL*

Had this for the first time in a long while. Sambal and rice still as good as ever! Chicken berempah was crispy too.
