I’m might be a terrible baker, but I think I might make a cake better than what these fellas sell. Please take extra caution with this shop.

Kuih Ambon tastes spoiled, others were okay

Items are getting smaller & smaller. Price keep increasing. One simple plain Pandan Chiffon Cake now cost $22 per box. The staff in this outlet are very rude & impatient with no customer service. Despite off peak period, staff are not helpful & look down on customers that do not buy a lot of items. Have a very bad experience here!!!

Bought the cake at jem outlet. Had asked the staff to get the cake from the big fridge but she said the cake at display fridge is also "new" and packed it for me. When we opened the box at home to take photo, we found something inside the longan but cannot figure it out. Also, the cake texture is so lumpy and dry. The cake is definitely not "new"

This felt like daylight robbery for how thin a a slice of coffee Swiss roll is now . Not recommended .

Supposed to bought some kuehs back for family. Food is okay but the service is not. . During selection, informed the lady behind the counter item by item on what i want, yet one of the kueh is missing from the box when I reach home. . During payment, I had explicitly mentioned the amount of kuehs by counting them individually with the cashier, yet she keyed in 7 Kueh Bugis instead of 6. 😡 #BengawanSolo #JEM [Update] Write in to their feedback email and they responded back after a week, at least they bother to do some service recovery.

Bought the mango cake and chocolate cake from Bengawan Solo Jem. Taste good and average. The shop is small but got a lot of kueh to choose from there, next time I would like to try their kueh! Hopefully it’s taste good. The service is fast even though the queue is quite long during the peak hours.

Business is brisk - as in most food shops in JEM on a Saturday afternoon. Service is brusque - as in most retail shops. But hey, Bengawan Solo name alone should make up for any shortcomings. So we just buy and go. Ya. That's Mall Culture here.

If you want a ‘happy’ birthday, please don’t buy your cake from here. The cake tasted so bad that it made me older

I am a cake lover as well as a critic..Black forest cake has always been my favourite, but I can see that BS quality is no more the same like last time. The cake which I purchased on 26 October had a typical smell in the white cream, the cake was not soft ,both the cake as well as the cherry were not fresh. Other brands also see the same but I purchased from BS as I thought I would get value for money...which unfortunately didnot happen..haiz

Was quite hesitant to buy from here, but so far my experience was okay. The staff were generally ok attitude and will ask you what you'd want 1. Bought a pandan chiffon cake ($22) for my overseas colleague. Aunty said it was freshly delivered that day. I didn't try it to test for the freshness, but they said it was great Price is quite expensive 😔 2. Kueh Sago, $1.50 First time trying this, it was so good!! I'll still come back to buy again.

Bengawan solo’s Pandan Kaya cake (SGD43.80) is the real standout compared to their Pandan Chiffon cake (overrated). It is also value for money. I am always here for the 1kg Pandan Kaya cake as my Mom loves it, she always say it’s the best Pandan Kaya cake she has eaten so far and I second that. We always buy the 1kg one (large size) at every family member’s birthday. Can use Shopback app to pay here.

We bought Chocolate cake for our Valentines day celebration. The price is on the expensive side but the quality and the quantity is great. The cake treated delicious. We really loved it. Definitely one of the best cakes we tried in Singapore. Sadly they can't write names on top of the cake. Seems it take one week to do that.
