Bought a slice of frozen stingray from Jem outlet on evening 29 March. Brought home and left in freezer overnight. Cooked the next day for lunch. The stingray stinks, and by comparing it to the one bought at Fairprice, it has definitely gone bad. My mouth had a terrible aftertaste. Will never buy anything from Song Fish again.

Not sure the whole stretch of retail shop at jem basement is cursed or what. After the unpleasant encounters at the yew Lee duck stall, this shop also got a very rude aunt staff who can’t be bothered answer my simple question how long can keep the fish in the fridge/freezer. I walked away didn’t get anything. Geez.

I was here at 8.25pm (8/9) and was told off by one of the shop keeper that “no picture should be taken”. It wasn’t stated anywhere in the shop that we cannot take picture? There wasn’t any explanation given too. I left the store without purchasing anything as the shop keeper was rude.

Staff charged us extra 20 cents for plastic bag without even asking whether we needed it. When we asked about it staff just pointed at the sign without saying anything. Very rude.

I highly recommend their shrimp siew mais! They're selling at 3 packets for $10 and 1 packet has 5 - steaming in the microwave is convenient and fuss-free for a filling breakfast! It advertises that there are no preservatives too.

Price are on slightly higher end but generally selling fresh fish and plenty of hotpot ingredients. Love the seaweed chilli I got from there too multiple since 2 years back

Quality fish and frozen food with reasonable price. I personally like their fish head...cheap and good. $5 for 2 reasonably size fish head. It's fresh, and cook with soup, you have all the nutrition food for your brain and collergen needs. Great taste too !

Love their vacuum packed fish. Even after deep freezing for a few weeks, the fish retains its freshness and tenderness if allowed to slow thaw.

Besides Frozen seafood & vegetables are available at reasonable pricing, You can get premium truffle flavoured XiAo Long Bao as well. Frozen dim sum is another one of the favourites. Cheese flavoured Siew mai is quite unique. Frozen fried chicken pop corn or yakitori is available here as well. Don't forget the seasoning packets too....
