I visited Tai Er at JEM recently and was genuinely impressed by both the food and the service. This outlet lives up to the reputation the brand has built around its signature Suan Cai Yu (酸菜鱼), and the experience was made even better thanks to our attentive and friendly server, JR.

First time eating at Tai Er, the stir fried cabbage, fish and surprisingly the white rice was the star of the show. Like that the dishes aren't too oily or heavy. Will come again for sure.

I have to say they have very clever ID concept that make the restaurant very intimate and also fantastic lighting for food shots. First time eating here and very impress with the energetic vibes in the outlet. Ordered their signature sauerkraut fish, not sure if it’s comparable to other Chinese eateries as I’m not the die hard fans of this dish but its good enough for me to go for 2nd helping. It helps when u go as a bigger group as we can try more appetizers. However servings for these are not big, so I find the price a bit on the high side especially the beef noodle. At $10 a pop here, Le Nu seems really value for money then. Oh but they serve one of the best cooked rice I have ever eaten. Something so simple but not always done well in Chinese eateries! Overall a good dining experience though.

This is my favourite lunch spot for suancai fish (酸菜鱼)🐟 Once u placed the order, it won't take long to serve all the dishes. The fish slices are so tender & the soup base is slightly sourish but appetising, not forgetting to mention the presentation, sprinkled with yellow flower buds, it definitely whets one's appetite. Especially suited for our hot & humid weather here. Another bonus point is the free flow drinks (self service) During my last visit, it was roselle flower with orange peel (陈皮)This time they changed it to muscat jasmine tea bags. I especially like the restaurant ambience, unlike most restaurants, which have bright & glaring lights, Tai Er lightings are really comfortable to dine in. I'm always looking forward to going back for more, & hopefully they can consider changing their menus every season so that we don't have to repeat eating the same dishes 😊

If you're into Mala dishes, this restaurant will set your taste buds on fire, in a good way. The atmosphere is great for family gatherings. They even offer free, fresh aromatic tea. Dishes arrive faster than at any fast food joint nowadays, and the waitstaff provides excellent service. The food is exceptionally authentic; it's as if the essence of Sichuan has been brought right to your table. It's a spicy, flavorful journey you won't forget.
