I want to give huge thanks to Joanna from SC at Jem branch for her exceptional help. After two unsuccessful attempts to resolve the online banking issue with other staff who did not follow up, Joanna finally provided the solution I needed. She was incredibly proactive, calling me with updates and assurances, and handled my case with great patience and expertise despite facing log in failures many times. Her dedication turned a very frustrating experience into a positive one. Hence, I highly recommend she be recognised by SC and deserves high praise!

Quite spacious, nice layout. Staff is quite friendly. I came on a Sunday for a special request loan. Waiting for 45 mins...and counting. But understandable, and the staff even offered to call me when the person who can handle my request reaches.

Worst banking experience..it took us more than 1 hours waiting time just to perform simple transaction such aa update personal details and activate account. After approaching the customer service again, they said all stsff engaged but I see less than 20 customers. End up, we decided to close the account since the experience we had is terrible.

I had issues reguarind my bank account, despite me trying to contact the staff, going to the bank directly, and talking to the bank managers. Everyone just said " Sorry I cant help you, Just wait". I Waited for 1.5 months only to have my account eventually closed. Im genuinely curious what's the point of having a support or bank outlet if no one can provide aid. I would not want to use their services again lol

Misleading Credit Card Promotion – Annual Fee Charged Despite Waiver Promise I applied for the Standard Chartered Journey Credit Card in May 2024 under a “No Annual Fee” promotion that clearly stated a first-year waiver. However, I was recently charged SGD 180 for the annual fee. I called the customer service hotline and was told the fee could not be waived — even though I met all the promotional criteria. This is extremely frustrating and feels deceptive. Why offer a benefit you don’t intend to honor? Despite following up via email and giving ample time, I still haven’t received a proper resolution. This level of customer service is unacceptable coming from a bank of this scale. Due to this experience, I will no longer be using this credit card, and I do not recommend Standard Chartered to others. Transparency and trust are essential — and sadly, both have been lacking here.

I am glad I closed my account with Standard Chartered Bank. I arrived slightly before lunch time to find your counters closed. Nevertheless, there were many staffs in the bank. Mostly chit chatting and walking around. The best part is that I wanted to enquire about the Priority Banking as I was looking to switch banks but to my surprise the counter was closed too. There were many people waiting for them to be served. Extremely appalling! #poorservice #nostaff

Went down to the JEM branch and had an extremely disappointing experience. There was no queue at all — I was literally the only customer in the branch. Yet despite holding a queue ticket, I was left sitting there like an idiot while multiple RMs and staff stood around chit-chatting with each other. No one was assigned to assist me, and no one even seemed to care that I was waiting. All this while I could clearly see several staff visibly free and available. This isn’t what I expect from a bank. Absolutely unacceptable service.

if i could put zero stars for this bank i would. My wife tried to request a credit card fee waiver and was bounced around endlessly: - Call centre directed her to the app - App didn’t work - Eventually got waived for credit card + late fee but was charged 2nd late charge due to the credit card annual fee not paid - Went down to the JEM branch, but staff said they had no authority to help since it’s “over a month” and inform us to call the call centre but to key in 1 to scam in order to chat with a operator. (Staff was rude btw) - Submitted an appeal, which eventually got rejected This entire runaround makes me wonder — what exactly is going on with Standard Chartered? MAS should look into this bank how could they do this to their customers

I arrived at 5:45pm on a Friday afternoon. Waited 15mins before my turn. The counter staff was very efficient, helpful to explain to me the procedures and forms required. I just used 10mins to complete 3 transactions. Well done👍☺️ …

ridiculous. would have given ZERO stars if i could. the lady “manager” at the front counter was disgustingly rude. looks at you like you owe her a million dollars. would sigh at you. went at 11am sharp and took the first queue number. after 20 minutes of waiting, still nothing. why? because they had ZERO RM on the walk in queue. WOW. so much for such a big bank. ZERO RELATIONSHIP MANAGER on walk in queue. then open walk in queue for what?? ridiculous system. rude staff.
