Fresh and excellent sushi - perhaps over-ordered on my end. The seats can be more comfortable though

Surprised to know that Don Donki has its own restaurant right at JEM! We had a positive dining experience, ample space was catered for each customer and the menu offering was quite alright (but with more focus on raw sushi/sashimi). Prices were on par with casual dining restaurants but considered quite value-for-money for its rather generous portion sizes. Some areas of improvement will be grilled salmon head with teriyaki (suggest to offer plain/ship option) as it was completely drenched in the sauce, making it too sweet, and cake desserts lacked texture. In general, worth a visit if you’re looking for a fuss free Japanese food option!

Food was really amazing and exceeded my expectations! Really affordable given the quality of the food. Salmon sashimi ($5.80) - fresh and served in thick cuts Jap steamed egg w/ shrimp ($12.80) - silky chawanmushi topped with a copious amount of shrimp Assorted tempura ($9.80) - batter was light and crispy, prawn was especially good! Ordered via QR code and served by the automated sliding trains at the side of the table. Service was not the best despite the restaurant not being crowded - asked for a refill for our green tea but the staff proceeded to fill other guests’ cups first without acknowledging us. Would definitely be back again - highly recommend to try the food!

I’ve always enjoyed Japanese food and have been trying different places for years. Many sushi chains have multiple outlets, but their food often feels average. At this outlet, however, the sushi stands out for being fresh and refined. Even small details, like individually sealed wasabi packs to preserve flavor, show their commitment to quality through their SOPs. I had lunch here today, and while the prices are on the higher side, the service was quick. I ordered a lunch Don set, which came with a main dish, soup, and a layered cake for dessert. The portion was slightly small, but the quality made up for it. The layered cake deserves special mention—it was light, aromatic, and creamy, practically melting in the mouth. I’d rate this set 4.5/5. I also tried the Tuna Tartare. It was fresh with no fishy taste and had a melt-in-your-mouth texture—adding a touch of wasabi elevated the flavor. I’d rate it 4/5. Another highlight was the sashimi assortment plate, especially the salmon, which was so fresh it didn’t need any sauce to shine. Overall, SenSen Sushi at Jem is definitely worth visiting. If you’re a sushi lover, this is a spot you should try to experience the difference.

My first time here and saw pretty good reviews for the restaurant. We ordered 2 sushi sets and some sashimi to share. The sushi and sashimi are very fresh and delicious, I find the prices quite reasonable too. We will come again.

Very enjoyable meal. Found Okinawa set satisfying with warm comforting clam soup, chawanmushi aling with nice selection if sushi. Hotate was fulfilling. Added mentayko salmon and otoro. Happy with the thick cuts and freshness of fish.

Didn’t have high expectations and was expecting something like supermarket sushi from Don Don Donki. But I was really surprised by the quality. The sushi was fresh, and the wagyu with uni was a nice touch. Definitely exceeded my expectations!

fish tasted rather fishy, shouldn't be, especially given the price point. this plate in the pic is almost $50. and, look at that jabara otoro cut, the fat is not trimmed off, I ate sushi for decade in sg and jp but was never served a cut like this. hard to chew and swallow. the pic featured in menu is a normal otoro cut. cutting corner and serving lazy cut like this is a really bad look. service needs to be asked for. sat and wasn't served water. table has no menu and had to ask for it, no staff was looking at me so I needed to walk to cashier to ask. very fishy smell in the restaurant, bad for appetite. overall bad experience and wouldn't come again, and cannot recommend it to anyone.
