Had such a great dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully served. The place has a nice ambiance, perfect for relaxing and enjoying good food. Special thanks to our waitress Jean for being so friendly, attentive, and making the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely recommending this spot to friends! 🍽️✨

Ate this many years ago and love the tenderness and softness of the pork. This time round, pork still good but I think the texture is not as good. Nevertheless, still enjoyed the dinner with free music from next door.

Really enjoyed my meal here! The red ramen was super flavourful, with a broth that was rich, porky and full of depth. The noodles had that perfect chewy texture that makes every bite so satisfying. The unagi rice was another highlight – soft, fluffy, and with just the right amount of char that gave it a smoky, slightly crispy edge. Even the batu side dish was surprisingly good, soft yet carrying a nice charred flavour that made it stand out.
The portions were just right and everything felt freshly made with care. It’s the kind of food that makes you want to slow down and savour. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re craving hearty ramen and tasty rice bowls. I’ll be back to try more dishes on the menu for sure!

We tried this place at JEM and was impressed that it has the same taste as the Woodlands outlet. Normally, this doesn't happen! Food is really good but the place is a bit cramp. Service is good.

Good taste of food with a relaxing semi outdoor setting. Staff were friendly and helpful. The onsen eggs were cooked to the perfection! The Chicken Nanban Don could be better if the batter was less thick. We were a bit disappointed by them using a cracked bowl for the Roast Wagyu Don and a chipped bowl for the Chicken Nanban Don. This showed that this restaurant has yet to attain the Japanese chef spirit, Shokunin.

Tried Aburi-EN recently and overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re craving some flame-seared Japanese rice bowls.
The unagi was quite enjoyable — soft, tender, and thankfully not loaded with tiny bones, which is always a plus. The pork had a nice smoky, charred flavour that’s really satisfying at first, but I did find it got a bit too heavy after a few pieces — definitely better to share if you don’t have a huge appetite for rich flavours.
I also had the aburi chirashi don, which wasn’t too bad either. It’s hard to tell if the fish is truly fresh since the aburi torching masks a lot of it, but the overall taste was pleasant enough — though like the pork, it does feel pretty heavy towards the end.
Overall, Aburi-EN is good if you’re in the mood for seared, slightly indulgent rice bowls — just be prepared for the rich flavours to pile up halfway through!

The food and service have always been decent, and I’ve never had an issue, until now. I understand it’s near closing time, but I was quite displeased with the cashier’s and manager’s attitude. It’s not a high-end restaurant, but BASIC COURTESY still matters. I was about to finish my meal in a few minutes, yet I was rushed to make payment, which interrupted my dinner. It left a poor impression.

Visited Aburi-EN at Jem for an early lunch with a friend. The restaurant was clean and well-kept, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
We ordered the Buta Don and the Mentaiko Chicken Don. Today, the highlight was definitely the Mentaiko Chicken Don—it was excellent. The Buta Don, however, was a bit disappointing as the pork lacked the flavorful fatty cuts that usually make the dish special.
That said, the set menu was satisfying overall, and I also enjoyed taking advantage of the Kris+ promotion (free ice cream with a $30 spend). One thing I appreciate about Aburi-EN is that the taste and quality are quite consistent across their outlets nationwide, so you generally know what to expect.
A reliable spot for a casual and tasty Japanese meal.

I purposely made my way to this outlet as I wanted to try the mega buta don under father day promo. I was very disappointed as the seasoning didnt “soak” into the meat. So it’s like boiled lean meat with a little sauce swipe on them. The meat is still tender but totally can’t taste much of the sauce. I didn’t taste the grilled effect at all. I didn’t encounter this type of quality before as I usually ate at woodlands causeway point or orchard. I will probably skip this Jem outlet. I still finished my don since all in with GST is around sgd21+. Obviously the colour is way off.
