You used to be me fav😞 I always order 2 mee with green pepper soup, but this time the soup tasted bland and the noodles were changed to another brand.( I really liked the previous noodle texture! ) and the noodle looked like just 1 mee, but the staff said it was 2. Overall, I’m very disappointed. Could you please change back? 😔

17 Aug 2025 My spouse had this at Tampines and decided to introduce me to this. The soup at Jem tasted bland for Zesty Teochew. Fish quality is good. This set is $29.80 for 2. I would like to try in other flavor next time but to find seats at this foodcourt during lunch or dinner is never easy!

$17.60 for sour plum drink, spicy fish and bee hoon. Very bad service. The staff “forgot” my noodles. The plum drink also taste bad. The food is also bad.

Located in the food court at JEM, What The Fish delivers a satisfying grilled fish experience. I ordered the whole grilled seabass in spicy fragrant mala broth, served bubbling hot in a metal tray with various toppings including tofu skin, lotus root slices, and potato slices. The fish was well-cooked — tender, juicy, and infused with the rich mala broth. The mala spice was bold yet balanced, offering a kick without numbing the tongue. The broth had good depth and the vegetables absorbed the flavours nicely. It’s comforting and shareable, great for two to three diners. For $29.80 (plus sides and rice), the value is decent, especially considering the generous portion. You also get a 10% discount when using the FairPrice app. Verdict: Worth trying if you’re nearby and craving a hearty, spicy meal. But not something I’d travel across town just for. Still, a strong contender in the grilled fish category for food courts.

What happened to their old fish fillet menu, now the taste became so much less local-friendly. Much lesser fish as well, not filling at all. Left a Terrible after taste, too much big pepper, chilli and oil. I have to go eat something else after that to rid the bad aftertaste. Terrible, not eating again.

The food is very delicious. Especially Enoki mushrooms which I love most. The soup is yummy. Recommended 👍👍. Flavour really simmered in. Very delicious.
