One of the better tonkatsu spots around — the quality easily justifies the price! I ordered the pork loin, which was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. There was no queue and the restaurant wasn’t crowded on a Thursday evening, making it a comfortable dining experience. Service was on the slower side, but not unbearable. We received complimentary truffle fries for spending $50 — a nice gesture, though the fries themselves were pretty average and could be skipped next time.

Queued for quite a while on a Friday night before getting a table. Not our first visit here — we came back hoping the food might impress more this time, but it still feels quite average overall.
The tonkatsu is decent — crisp on the outside and tender enough — but nothing particularly memorable. Portion size and presentation are alright, and the refillable sides are a nice touch. Service was okay despite the crowd.
It’s a convenient spot for a satisfying Japanese meal in a mall setting, but not one I’d go out of the way for.

Food was decent. Not bad but wouldn’t say it was great. Ordered the Hokkaido Rosu and Unagi Tamago Toji.
Hokkaido Rosu was good, very clean tasting pork, didn’t feel greasy and had a good crunch to it.
Unagi was pretty average, nothing fantastic and portion was kinda small.

Having rocket leaves in the cabbage salad added a nice flavour.
Nicely fried and pork isn’t dry. 👍🏻
Feedback - the Australian hire - suggest slicing the pork for easier consumption.

The food, service and atmosphere is great. I ordered the Hokkaido Rosu Katsu Set and I absolutely love it. There is no porky taste nor is it oily. The service staffs are also very friendly and nice, and the environment is very clean. Pricing wise is very reasonable too. I will definitely return again.

Food is nicely served, good that I was told how I could add the egg for my liking.
Free flow of cabbage n rice, good for big eater. Tea timely refilled. For a hot afternoon, aircon not cold enough.

I’ve been here several times and absolutely love the rosu katsu set. The fried food always tastes fresh, and even after multiple visits, both the food quality and service have remained consistently excellent. The crew members are especially polite, kind, and attentive to your needs. Looking forward to dining here again soon!

I had the pleasure of enjoying a well-balanced Japanese teishoku meal that left me both satisfied and comforted. The main highlight was the golden-brown deep-fried prawns, perfectly crispy on the outside while still tender and juicy inside. They were served alongside a refreshing bed of finely shredded cabbage with a wedge of lemon, which cut through the richness of the fried coating nicely.
The meal came with a bowl of fluffy steamed white rice—sticky, glossy, and cooked just right—perfect for pairing with the savory fried items. Accompanying it was a bowl of miso soup with sliced carrots, adding a touch of sweetness and warmth to the meal.
One detail I especially appreciated was the small bowl with a wooden pestle for grinding sesame seeds, which added a fun interactive element and deepened the aroma when mixed into the dipping sauce for the fried prawns.
Altogether, this set was hearty yet well-balanced, offering crunch, freshness, and comfort in each bite. It’s the kind of meal that feels homely while still delivering restaurant-quality execution
