Self service or server helps you grill the meats. The pork and chicken has nice seasoning.
I like the tofu soup - more like a stew as it’s pretty thick. Limited side dishes, but we were full already

All the staff are very friendly, even at peak period. Special shout out to Ebi who was very attentive to our needs, and helping with the grilling of the meats we had ordered.

Today came here after 9 months ago. The meat quality was still good . Just that the pork belly was slightly lesser than 9 months ago when came upon checking past photos . Staff Darryl was helpful in the BBQ process. He is patient and proactive. His BBQ skill is good and tasty for the assisted grilled meat.

Came to this restaurant for a family dinner and we were very well taken care of by Ms. Felicia. She was cheerful, friendly, and personally handled all the BBQ for our table of 10. Her service really made our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The restaurant has a nice ambience, and we appreciated the wide selection of condiments available for self-service. Highly recommend for a fun and fuss-free BBQ meal! Mr Andrew Chia also assisted Felicia in serving us.

Honestly a much better experience this time. I was invited back due to my initial bad experience. And this time, I was actually met with great service. To be truthful, the food was good but I would say not worth the price, if you are paying full price. However, this experience was truly elevated by Andrew (the manager who attended to us at the table), and Tita (who helped arrange this reservation and oversaw it). I really have to appreciate Andrew for his enthusiasm and willingness to explain the whole menu, and answer any questions we might have regarding the items or meats. On top of that, he notified us of the current ongoing promotions and how we might make full use of it. I was really happy that such high standards of service were not lost.
Furthermore, he helped us grill the meats and asked how we would like the meats done. I think that this is a much better service, and made me really enjoy my experience at seorae.
I would really like to give props to both Andrew and Tita for being such great managers in the line of service.
In terms of food, I would say the meats were of good quality, but lacked some flavour without the sauces provided at the free flow sides bar. But the pancake, and jigae was great. Never really tried korean food much, but definitely one of the better experiences. Personal favourite is the sliced beef on a plate by itself (forgot what it is called). Kimchi is pretty great too. My only gripe might be that it is probably too expensive for the quality (at least without any promotions). (Food gets a 3.75/5 but service was a 5 this time)
Overall a much better experience, and would like to commend both Andrew and Tita for being great people in the service industry.

Been a loyal customer of this Korean restaurant for several years and used to really enjoy coming here. Unfortunately, the last few visits have been disappointing. It seems like the team has changed — the service standards have dropped significantly.
Today I decided to give it another shot, but it was another letdown. While the BBQ meats were still good, the cooked dishes were not up to standard. The cold noodles, which used to be my favorite, came out as one big lump and pancake is like just cooked (soft) — totally unappetizing.
Service-wise, the staff didn’t seem properly trained. Despite having space on the table, food was placed awkwardly at the corner of my arm, as if I was supposed to rearrange everything myself. It felt careless and inattentive.
It’s a shame to see how much the overall experience has declined. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both food consistency and staff training.

I had a very pleasant dining experience at Sorae Korean BBQ at JEM. The quality of the meat was excellent, especially the marinated cuts which were tender and flavourful. The side dishes were well-prepared and consistently topped up without needing to ask, which I appreciated.
The atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and suitable for both small groups and family dinners. Overall, it was a satisfying Korean BBQ experience, and I would be happy to return.
